Well what can I say about myself? I've been into cars for as long as I can remember. My Dad is mainly to blame. I am a rare breed I think because I can appreciate all cars, domestic and imports alike. As long as they're tastefully done, I like it. Most folks like one and not the other. If it has a motor and can be modified, I dig it. My heart will always belong to Hot Rods though.
My artistic/creative side I think I get from my mother and brother. My bro was a drawing fool and was always drawing stuff I just couldn't master for lack of patients. I always wanted to be like him. It was not till high school did I sort of "blossom" in my creativity. I still suck at drawing, but only if I don't take my time. I have learned you can do better if you just take your time.
I am pretty much a self-taught Graphic Artist. I went in to the US Naval Reserves as a SeaBee after high school. I was trained as a construction mechanic, but never pursued that route. I went to apply at an art school and found that I just could not afford it. I was also married young at 19 which ended in divorce when I was 26. I was "lost" and didn't make anything of myself during that time. But, I did manage to start at the bottom in a mailroom and have only gone up from there. After my divorce I decided to go for what I really wanted which was Web/Graphic Design. It has taken a lot of time and hard work to get where I am at in my career. Now, I am a Graphic Artist for a Fortune 250 company and also freelance on the side. While I have been with this company, I have been able to take Graphic Design classes, strengthening my skill. I spend a lot of time "playing" with graphic programs and am always learning something new.
Today I am happily married to a wonderful girl. We have 2 kids. I am a devoted family man that is just trying make it in this world like the rest of you.
